The World Book Of Whissons on the left & right were published in the
mid & late
1990s by Burke's Peerage, who would research rare names then compile
a world
address book via electoral rolls, etc.
They would then contact all the people on that list by post to try
to sell them a copy.
It certainly helped in finding some of our far spread kin, although
alot of the books are full of not so helpful how to trace your
ancestry padding.
The Whisson Family History-The Promised Land (centre) was published
via Ned
Whisson in 1984. Full of lots of vital information, trees, photos &
family biographies.
It is this website's desire to further expand upon this valuable
volume, filling in some missing links & updating better known
lineages.
